A new series of book review has come. This time, our brother, David Joseph, has brought us the review from the book he did read. Are you interested with leadership? And do you know kind of books which say about it? Here comes a book which speaks about it, leadership. NAME OF THE BOOK: A LEADER WHO HAD NO TITLE AUTHOR: ROBIN SHARMA In these series, you will get to know the principles he obtained from the book, and actually he wanted to share with us all. Here comes first post, starting from the first principle. 1.YOU NEED NO TITLE TO BE A LEADER "If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets as Michelangelo painted or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespearepoetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, “Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” —DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING J As the world changes the pace of its uncertainties, people should also change the way they define leadership. Leadership isn...

Chi faces this!

Writing this on behalf of the child, regardless the gender, who walks so long to school, who lacks meal sometimes, who can’t afford school fees, health services, facing sexual harassment and gender based violence and bad enough who lacks person to talk to, the one who can absolutely give him hope to achieve his or her dream. I am the child, a little one, from Africa. My name is Chi, and am from Africa, a beautiful continent, when I was born, may be my mother felt happy that I came in her life, to my father the same.  I too have a dream, I want to be my dream. But, things had changed and they keep on changing every single day. And, I can’t see what’s future hold for me. Walking so long to school, things roll in my mind, will I find food when I get back home from school? Will I find my father drunk again and beat my mom so hard? And, for how long will I stay at school, as I even don’t know when I will be in my period, may be its today? Aggrrr, and this cousin at home, Will I f...

Her voice Matters

At Karimjee, Posta DSM on commemoration of International day of girl child organized by Bright Jamii Initiative and other organizations, I started writing this little piece, after asking a girl (12) near me, “what are you celebrating today”, the response was, “sijui leo siku ya msichana, sijui mwanamke, hata sielewi, sisi tumeambiwa tuje” I don’t know who is going to read this, but help your daughter, young sis, niece and friend to read this too. Dear little girl, I really can’t tell you what you are going to encounter in next seconds, minutes, hours or days and years, but I hope this can help you in finding better direction towards the best carrier you need to pursue or that awesome dream which rolls in your mind frequently and absolutely the future that you are going to face. Dear girl child, do you remember that awesome dream that you used to have, or may be still having it? Being a doctor, engineer, teacher, pilot or activist? Dear girl child, regardless the kind of the famil...

From TIMUN 2020

I was among the youths who got the chance to attend in the TANZANIA INTERNATIONAL MODEL OF UNITED NATIONS (TIMUN) in the year 2020 held in Arusha, Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology . I applied for it because I wanted to experience how TIMUN is, and absolutely to be among the youths who can participate in creating what they are particularly want through sharing different views depending on the theme of the year. Also, to be among the youth representative in expressing what youths hold in their minds, youths whom I left by streets, university and community as whole. Theme of TIMUN 2020, was “YOUTH ROLE IN CREATING THE FUTURE WE WANT”. The questions popped in my mind, what kind of future we want? Do we know what present hold for us? Can we experience the change in society depending on change in science and technology and other aspects? Are we ready for choosing what we want? Do we have power in making what we want? Is our environment conducive to accept what sugge...

Being a teenager

Now, People around teens, should understand the changes from teenagers. That's constant change, sometimes it can be very tough times to them in trying fixing some negative behavioral changes. Thats all about being a parent or guardian. I was also a teenager, just a year ago. I tried to make it at it's fullest and still do. Teenage is about being 13 to 19 years old. I spent years from form 2 to the first year of my University studies. But being a teenager is more than just being 13 to 19 years old. It carries a lot that we are always not aware of.  For parents and guardians, do you remember what things you used to do at your teen age? Were they worth doing, or was it just okay and felt fine doing them as they brought you happiness? Teenage is also associated with adolescence, which brings a lot of challenges to the teens. Since adolescence can come with the random ways, smart and confusions, best and worse and some other things, all which can affect a teenager positively or nega...
