Hedhi Salama!

BEING THE CHANGE - Hellen Mpuya

According to the Merriam Webster, an activist is a person who advocates or practices activism: a person who uses or supports strong actions (such as public protests) in support of or opposition to one side of a controversial issue. An environmental activist is a person who engages in activities related to protection and preservation of the environment and advocates for environmental justice. An activist is a person who sees a social or political wrong and takes efforts to make it right. From Helen, My name is Hellen Mpuya Luchagula, a student at Mzumbe University of Morogoro, pursuing an undergraduate Law degree (legum baccalaureus; LLB).  Whenever I close my eyes, before falling asleep, I picture myself laying on a beautiful natural grass, surrounded by a variety of tall trees in a forest, a smooth wind whizzing past my skin bringing me a sweet chill, the birds singing and a stream of fresh clean water flowing peacefully in its channel. I have lived to love nature and en...

Ihewa- 'Success is of people who never give up"

From Ihewa, My name is Ihewa Mwamini Gaula, I am 22 years old. A Tanzanian. Currently, a Medical Student 4th year. About me! I was born in Dodoma and spent most of my life here. Growing up I really loved reading, I read a lot, everything. In my spare time I would invest my time on writing stories. I had a keen interest in astronomy, so I read everything I could on the subject. I was determined to become a re-known astronomer. When I was much younger I used to collect snakes, once I went to my mother when my baby sister was sick and gave her our garden peas telling her it was medicine for my sister-  everyone was convinced I would grow up to become a doctor. I strongly opposed the idea, I hated blood or any idea associated with spending my time in a hospital! However when I was in form four I realized my strong desire to help other people, I felt a strong desire to help other people and serve God as well, at that moment I was certain a medical career was the right path for m...

You Own Your Mind

Do you write, paint, draw or engage in any creativity? Do you cook, decorate or love to do new things? If you do,then you are using imagination. If you watch your mind, you'll find out that, you are consistently using your imagination in various ways. You use it (imagination) while thinking about the past or future, planning, describing things, when you read, to mention a few. There are some people who believe that, they don't have imagination. Trust me or not, it might be weak but they actually process it always. When you worry or feel fear for instance, you process it (imagination). At such times, you visualize sadness and unfortunate situations of which by keep visualising negative mental images, you may attract them into your life as Budha puts it that, the mind is everything, you become what you think. Are you able to decide over what thoughts to think and which ones to reject? What about other people's thoughts and ideas you receive from various or differe...
