Developing a Personal Mantra

Its been a long long long time since we were here!  Anyways, happy new year 2025!  I’m looking forward to sharing more stories, reflections, and snippets of daily life here. Come to "sharing", last year I got to hear a thing about "mantra" from a friend and a mentor, and this is what I firstly need to share before we dive deep in 2025. Mantras have a way of anchoring our thoughts and guiding our actions. As I approached 2025, I felt the need for a guiding principle that would not only inspire me but also provide a framework for how I navigate the year. That’s how I arrived at my mantra: Intentional Progress . This article shares my journey of developing this mantra and how it can shape my actions in the year ahead. The Importance of a Mantra A personal mantra is more than just a phrase; it’s a compass that aligns your actions with your values and goals. It serves as a reminder to stay focused and intentional, especially when life becomes overwhelming. For me, a mant...

Hiking Day at Uluguru Mountains: A lot of reasons to conserve

Nestled in the heart of Tanzania, the Uluguru Mountains stand tall and proud, beckoning adventurers with their lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and breathtaking panoramic views. As an avid nature enthusiast, I embarked on a hiking day at Uluguru Mountains, seeking solace from the bustling city life and an opportunity to reconnect with the pristine beauty of the natural world.    It was not a first time, and surely it will not be a last time. BUT, little did I know that this expedition would prove to be a transformative journey, both physically and spiritually.       The Ascent Begins With my backpack packed and a heart full of anticipation, I set foot on the trailhead around 10am. The air was crisp, and the sweet aroma of the surrounding vegetation infused my senses, drew my attention, that, it was time, time to get far and reconnect with the most beautiful and tiresome activity that am attracted to, accompanied by an experienced guide, not in such, but t...

Our Adventurously Journey

We are living the life that we are not sure of what will happen in the next day, well, next second ahead. But HOPE, hope makes us plan and get excited of the future. We have already planned on what we need to do, who to meet, and what to eat at lunch. That's LIVING. We are not sure but we have to live and live again until the end of us. Who knows when? NONE. Challenges and success are part of this beautiful, NO, adventurously journey that we are on. We need success and we are fully or partially work on them to come on our way but we never want challenges to disturb us. No one want the bumpy ride.  Life messes us up every time it gets a chance to, through moments, situations, things and people, either we love or hate. The more messed up you are the more life takes you as a joke and so you'll get to be messed up around every now and then because of how "jokely" life is going to treat you. Enjoy the bumpy ride because there is no other way to dodge the life challenges b...

Book Review-EVERYTHING IS F😵CKED Ep1

It has been a long long time since publishing the last book review, David Joseph is here again, sharing with you his take away from this worthy reading book! AUTHOR: MARK MANSON CHAPTER ONE: THE UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH AND THE PARADOX OF PROGRESS We live in an interesting time in that, materially things are arguably better than have ever been before, yet we all seem to be losing our minds thinking the world is one giant toilet bowl about to be flushed. An irrational sense of hopelessness is spreading through the world despite all the advancements and improvements in human life. In fact, progress has continued uninterrupted, throughout modern history. We are more educated and literate than ever before. Violence has trended down for decades, possibly centuries. Racism, sexism, discrimination and violence against women are at their lowest points in recorded history. We have more rights than ever before, cured diseases than ever before and with more wealth than ever before, and s...

I TOOK OVER

"By occupying spaces and places where they are rarely seen or heard, girls and young women demanded action to find solutions to ensure all girls can learn, lead, decide and thrive".- Plan International My name is Genila Hiel, I am active digital citizen, I met the advert of Plan International concerning the Girl Take Over Initiative. I applied, I went through the interview and I succeed to be among 2021 candidates of Girls Take Over, although this was not my first application on Girls Take Over program, I applied previous year, I did not succeed to be among the candidates. In #GirlsTakeOver2021 , I got appointed to take over Standard Chartered Bank’s Chief Executive officer, Mr Sanjay Rughani. At first I was shocked that am going to take over the position held by male, again the top position of the institution in the country wise. But being nervous made me curious of wanting more to take over his position, experiencing what he really used to experience in that chair....
